Christmas Day Vlog

Day 22 of Vlogmas! Here's what we did on Christmas Day. More food (gotta love the holiday eating!) and some exercise and movement as well :) Balance, am I right? We watched Wonder Woman 1984, which was so much fun! And ended the day with yummy pea soup for dinner.

Today’s Christmas Day!

Decided to kick Christmas off with a full-body strength session with my favorite personal trainer, Caroline Girvan. This is from her EPIC program. I’ve been following her December calendar for the month of December and have enjoyed revisiting sessions from the EPIC program.

I’m happy I got some activity in before more Christmas eating! It’s nice to try and balance things out.

We start Christmas with a big breakfast of cinnamon rolls, though this year we did cinnamon bread along with scrambled eggs and avocado. Delicious and filling. We also had my mother in law’s famous fruit smoothie and cappuccino. Definitely such a treat.

Since no one could travel for Christmas this year it was a small group, only those we’ve been socially isolating with. And although not everyone in our family could be together for Christmas this year, we had Zoom calls and got to see each other virtually. It certainly was better than nothing, but of course not the same.

Opening presents was fun, especially with a 10-month-old discovering Christmas for the first time. My gift was a matching legging and crop top set from GymShark in ombre blue. I love getting new working gear from my training sessions with Caroline Girvan. As for Greg, Santa brought him a new fitness tracker. Do you see a theme with our gifts, haha.

After opening presents, we decided to get some activity and did some yard work. The snow had recently melted and the gravel got all misplaced so we had to even it out. And let me tell you, it’s quite the full-body workout if you allow it to be. I love finding new and creative ways to get some extra steps in or add some more movement to my day, especially when it’s the holiday season and we’re eating so many delicious things we only have this time of year.

Before dinner, we made some homemade gingerbread cookies and my sister-in-law got these cute snowflake cookie cutters. Perfect for the holiday season, don’t you think? My mother-in-law cut the sugar substantially so these cookies aren’t overly sweet, which I’m quite happy about.

We watched Wonder Woman before dinner and it was so much fun. I loved the first one and saw it in theaters three times, believe it or not. Gal Gadot is amazing and her acting was even more superb in this one. I just wish there had been more action in this one.

Opened a few more gifts from Greg and my parents..and of course, more gym gear which I’ll be wearing for EPIC II.

These are the gym shark leggings that go with a cute blue ombre crop top.
Here's my EPIC sweatshirt :)

We ended the day with a delicious dinner of homemade pea soup with sausage and some yummy cheese. It’s a Christmas tradition in our family and something we thoroughly look forward to each year.

I hope you’ve been enjoying this time of year as best you can. And hopefully, you’ve been able to carve out some time for self-care and movement in addition to eating yummy treats and delights.

That’s a wrap on Vlogmas for this year thanks so much for joining me on this journey. I’ll see you in another video here on the Mary Daphne channel.

Thank you for reading!!
